Lynn tells us about Frida Kahlo, a famous Mexican artist whose tragic life story was just about as popular as her art. She was the first female artist to outwardly express her pain and suffering through self-portraits.
Then, Rose tells us about Jane Addams, an American settlement activist, reformer, social worker, sociologist, public administrator and author. Jane contracted tuberculosis of the spine at age four and suffered a lot of pain throughout her life, but she didn’t let that stop her from becoming the first female to win the Nobel Peace Prize!
